My story
A personal perspective on fashion
I’m Homa Samar — a woman, a wife, a mother, and a business professional with a lifelong love of fabrics, design and the art of dressing.
For more than fifteen years I have built my career in business, working with organisations of every size, from established companies to small start-ups. Through all of it, fashion has remained part of who I am. It has never been just about clothing: it is a way to express creativity, explore individuality and bring ideas to life.
Today I bring these passions together in Homa Samar. My work combines my own designs, shaped by my creative vision and hands-on experience in sewing, with a carefully curated selection of pieces from independent designers.
The first collections were my own. Spring/Summer 2019 — the Silvana and Sepita mantuas, the Delnia dress, the Shaylin jacket — was a study in structure and softness. Winter 2020 followed a muse who carries a book, because awareness is part of beauty: Vista, Shenaya, Sheyda, Rayka and Dinaz. Both are sold out, and both live on in the archive with their stories. This season, the AW26 edit adds two designers whose work I would wear myself: Cubic, for wool knitwear and coats, and Capsule by Agnė Gilytė, for relaxed tailoring and shirting.
Whether I am creating a garment or selecting a piece for the collection, I look beyond appearance. I pay attention to the quality of the materials, the craftsmanship, the details, and the thought behind each design. I believe that what we wear should be more than a passing trend. Clothing can express who we are, reflect what we value, and help us feel confident in our own individuality.
Based in Helsinki, Homa Samar brings together independent design and carefully considered fashion, guided by a belief in quality over quantity and beauty with purpose.
Beyond fashion, I dream of a world with more peace, freedom and joy — a world where children can play freely, families can laugh together, and everyone has the space to be themselves.
This is the perspective behind Homa Samar: a personal approach to fashion, shaped by experience, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the things that make us who we are.
